Nickerson Beach Park

In addition to a half-mile stretch of sandy beach, Nickerson State Park also includes a 155-acre park with tennis courts, a soccer field, baseball diamond, and two basketball courts. It even has a dog run. Visitors to Nickerson Beach can also rent cabins or use the park’s playground and two basketball courts. The park also offers a boat launch for visitors to use. The Nickerson Beach Clubhouse is located in the center of the Recreational Area. The Nickerson Beach Pitch and Putt Golf Course was opened by Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano and Nassau County Commissioner of Parks Brian Nugent. The course is designed by Tom Lewis, the same golfer who designed the Nickerson Beach Clubhouse and other local courses. The course is open to the public on weekends, and is non-residential. During the summer, cabanas and cabinettes are available for rent. During summertime, cabanas are available for rent at Nickerson Beach. During peak season, there is a lottery for cabana spots. There are currently 498 cabanas and 147 cabinettes available. Dogs are welcome on Nickerson Beach, although they are not permitted on the beach.

The Nickerson Beach Pitch and Putt Golf Course features nine holes of realistic pitch and putt golf. Holes range in length from 47 to 105 yards. Nickerson Beach also features two basketball courts and a new baseball field. The Nickerson Beach pitch and putt golf course also features a playground and campground. Crescent Beach Club
